Challenge

When Methodist College was renamed Methodist University in 2006, the school saw a unique chance to reposition its brand. Its new identity needed to signify a new era for the North Carolina based institution while honoring its fifty-year legacy.

Solution

The university bell tower had long been a central symbol of Methodist and it provided the ideal element to anchor the new brand program. The tower was crafted to form an abstract 'M' as an ideal tribute to Methodist, both before and after it was renamed.
