Prospect League ASG 2009

Founded in 1963 as the Central Illinois Collegiate League, the Prospect League was expanded, renamed and rebranded in 2009. The inaugural season All-Star Game called for an identity that balanced visual cues from both the league's new logo and the host city of Springfield, Illinois.

Springfield is renowned as the home of Abraham Lincoln. As a result, the logo was inspired by vintage placards and political poster typography used during the mid-1800's. Incorporating the league's rising star icon provided a celebratory element that could be retained in the event's future.
